(Meetings to be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 1415 S. Holland in Springfield, MO at 10:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month)



January 15. Officer Executive Board planning meeting, 10am at the home of President, Dee Dosch.

February 19. Program to be given by Mara Cohen Ioannides from MSU about the first Jews who settled in Springfield during the Civil War from her book, ‘Creating Community, The Jews of Springfield, Missouri.’

March 19. Program presented by John Rutherford and Dr. Bill Piston about their new book, “We Gave Them Thunder” Marmaduke’s Raid and the Civil War in Missouri and Arkansas. Available for purchase.

April 16.  Initiation for new members. Wreath Laying ceremony for Mary Whitney Phelps in Hazelwood Cemetery following the meeting.

May 21. Spring Fashion Show and Tea. A fundraiser planned by Janet Perry and team. Afternoon affair followed by a brief business meeting. 

June 11. DUVCW Department Convention in St. Charles MO (summer break, no regular monthly meeting)

July Summer break, no regular monthly meeting

August 2-7 National Convention. Wyndham Gettysburg, 95 Presidential Circle Gettysburg, PA (no regular monthly meeting) August 10th, the Anniversary of the Battle at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, 1861.

September 17. Fran Black, Patriotic Instructors’ Program

October 15. Possibly Jim Gallion, a volunteer at Wilson’s Creek visitors center, on a program about George Kirkland, son of Elizabeth Keckley. 

November19. White Elephant Sale with proceeds for the general fund.

December 17. Christmas Party and Wreaths Across America ceremony.
